SMSTEELApplication
Thus, electrogalvanized products become:
- SPCC → SECC
- SPCD → SECD
- SPCE → SECE
- SPCF → SECF
- SPCG → SECG
Electrogalvanizing Process
Electrogalvanizing electrodeposits a zinc layer onto steel substrates using DC current through a zinc-salt electrolyte solution. This process:
- Provides corrosion resistance
- Extends service life
- Enhances aesthetic quality
SMSTEELApplication
**Corrosion Protection Mechanism:**
Zinc's oxidation resistance protects steel in both dry and humid environments. If damaged, a zinc-steel galvanic couple sacrificially protects the substrate.
**Standard Process Flow:**
1. Surf- Alkaline degreasing → Hot water rinse → Acid pickling → Rinsing
2. Electroplating Zinc electrodeposition → Rinsing
3. Post-treatment Chromate passivation → Hot water rinse → Drying
4. Quality Assurance - Inspection → Packaging
