electro-galvanization employs an electric current to deposit dissolved zinc onto the surface of the material to be plated. This method offers uniform coating thickness and decorative properties, making it a preferred choice for various applications. However, unlike hot-dip galvanization, electro-galvanized materials typically undergo chromate treatment to enhance corrosion resistance and prevent white powdery corrosion formation.

PPGI Steel Coil

Non-oriented silicon steel

Non-oriented silicon steel is a kind of special cold-rolled silicon steel material with excellent properties. It is mainly made by mixing, melting, casting, hot rolling and other raw materials such as ferrosilicon, calcium silicate and hot metal. Compared with ordinary cold-rolled silicon steel, non-oriented silicon steel has lower iron loss, higher permeability and lower coercivity, so it is widely used in power transformers, motors and generators.

Electrical steel plate (also known as silicon steel sheet or silicon steel sheet) refers to a silicon iron soft magnetic alloy with extremely low carbon content (after annealing, the carbon content is below 0.005%), generally with a silicon content of 0.5% to 4.5%. Adding silicon to iron can improve its electrical resistivity and maximum permeability. Mainly used to manufacture iron cores for various transformers, motors, and generators. Electrical steel plates are divided into two categories, namely oriented electrical steel plates and non oriented electrical steel plates.

Cold rolled non oriented silicon steel sheets are mainly used as iron cores for motors and small transformers, and are essential soft magnetic alloys in power, electronics, and military industries. It has the largest usage in magnetic materials and is an important energy-saving metal functional material. The demand for cold-rolled non oriented silicon steel in the market is steadily increasing.

       Hot rolled pickled and oiled (HRPO) steel is a type of steel that undergoes a pickling and oiling process after being hot rolled. The pickling process removes scale and rust from the steel's surface, while the oiling process applies a protective layer of oil to prevent rust from forming in the future. The resulting steel is easier to work with, possesses many fabricating advantages, and has a smoother surface finish than hot-rolled steel that has not undergone this process.

      This term refers to the process of producing strip steel from a slab, typically a continuous casting slab, by heating it and then processing it through roughing and finishing mills. The resulting hot steel strip is then cooled to the desired temperature through laminar flow and coiled into steel strip coils by the coiler. The cooled steel strip coils undergo various finishing operations such as leveling, straightening, and cutting to produce steel plates, flat coils, and longitudinal cut steel strip products. These products are then inspected, weighed, packaged, and marked according to the users' needs. In essence, a steel billet undergoes multiple rounds of rolling after being heated, and then the edges are cut and corrected to form a steel plate. This process is known as hot rolling.

Cold rolled steel is essentially hot rolled steel that has been through further processing. Once hot rolled steel has cooled, it is then re-rolled at room temperature to achieve more exact dimensions and better surface qualities.

Electrogalvanized steel codes combine three elements:  

1. Base metal grade (e.g., SPCC, SPCD)  
2. Process identifier "E" (electrogalvanized)  
3. Zinc coating specification (type/mass)  

They are widely popular in industries such as construction, light industry, automobiles, agriculture and commerce.
